Importance of Water

Is drinking enough water really Important?

Water the a need for every human being. Every person on the earth needs good, clean and safe water. Nearly, 70% of body weight is of water. Water helps to form the structure of protein and glycogen, which means that water is the source that carries nutrients to our cells in each part of our body and also help to transport the waste out of the body.

Benefits of drinking more water:

  • Drinking more water early in the morning, looses more body weight. The water consumption should be consistent throughout the day. The water flushes out the by-products of fat breakdown
  • Helps in building muscles
  • Cushions muscles and joints as water works as lubricant for joints
  • Looses more calories
  • Body metabolism increases
  • Helps reduce blood pressure and reduce high cholesterol
  • Helps proper functioning of the kidneys
  • Could lower the risk of developing kidney stones and gallstones

  • Flushes the toxins out of the body
  • Reduce the risk of diseases and infection
  • Our brain tissue contains about 85% water. Drinking water regularly will keep the brain functioning properly. In some cases, headache, fatigue and back pain may be caused by dehydration. This can be cured by drinking more water.
  • Drinking more water reduces hunger. Drinking water before regular meals cuts down the hunger and hence food intake
  • Metabolism is the means by which the food we consume is turned into energy. The digestion process will prepare the nutrients in the food to be absorbed by the body and transformed into energy. Drinking plenty of water is essential to maintain a good digestion which in turn keep your metabolism going. The health benefit of water is better utilization of the nutrients you consume resulting in more energy.
  • Its better to avoid drinking water 2-3 hours before you go to bed.
  • A mere 2% drop in body water can trigger short term memory, trouble with basic math.

Hot water is better than Cold water

It is nice to have a cup of warm water after a meal. However, the warm water will solidify the oily stuff that you have just consumed. It will slow down the digestion. Once this "sludge" reacts with the acid in the stomach, it will break down and be absorbed by the intestine faster than the solid food. It will line the intestine. Very soon, this will turn into fats and lead to cancer.
Hence, it is best to drink hot soup or warm water after a meal.

Great Article..
A small Correction: It is not good to drink water after a meal.
1) It solidifies the oily intake and leads to cancer eventually.
2) It dilutes the digestive juices and hinders digestion.
Therefore Its great to drink water across the day.
3-4 glasses of warm water early in the morning flushes off the toxins and helps reduce fat in obesity.
& Across the day can drink warm or cold water alot.
